Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Ashby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Saburo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Brandon Ashby has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Brandon Ashby! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Adam Saburo! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Saburo lands a nice leg kick that just misses Ashby's sensitive parts. Ashby misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ashby shoots for a takedown but Saburo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Saburo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Horrible takedown by Saburo or perhaps it was just good defense by Ashby which made him look bad. Saburo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Saburo trying to control the pace. Ashby is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Saburo is taking a breather. Ashby says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Saburo decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Ashby leaves Saburo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Ashby tries to close the distance and clinch but Saburo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Saburo connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Ashby shoots and misses and Saburo counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Saburo. Saburo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Saburo showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Ashby seems keen to control Saburo's posture. Ashby is breathing heavily. Saburo throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Saburo wants to control from the top but Ashby keeps moving. Saburo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Saburo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Saburo is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Ashby's shoulder. That is not cool. Saburo lands an elbow. Ashby throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Saburo looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ashby looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Saburo controlling the action here. Ashby is looking for a sweep. Saburo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Still in half guard, Saburo seems content to control. Ashby is in trouble now - Saburo has advanced to mount! Ashby is looking to get to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adam Saburo dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Ashby closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Saburo to the mat! Saburo manages to get full guard. Ashby trying to control but Saburo is working from the bottom. Ashby looking to sit in guard and control but Saburo gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Saburo working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Saburo trying to control but Ashby is working from the bottom. Saburo would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ashby is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Saburo wants to control from the top but Ashby keeps moving. Saburo controls from within his opponent's guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Ashby gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily so Saburo counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Ashby keeping full guard, as Saburo tries to pass. Saburo scoring with some ground and pound. Ashby controls Saburo momentarily but Saburo frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Saburo won't allow Ashby to sweep him here. Ashby is working hard here to advance position. Saburo trying to control the position from guard on top but Ashby is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Saburo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ashby is keeping the position for now.

Brandon Ashby has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Saburo. Saburo dodges the punch combination from Ashby.

Saburo is trying to defend but Ashby finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Well, if Ashby is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That was a close second round but I would say that Brandon Ashby will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
The fight stays on the outside here - Saburo looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Saburo shoots in and bounces Ashby off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Ashby keeping moving, preventing Saburo from controlling successfully. Saburo sitting in guard, not really doing much. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Saburo stopping the sweep attempt from Ashby.

Saburo circles away from the clinch attempt and Saburo counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Ashby! Ashby tries to hold on but Saburo postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Saburo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ashby is looking to escape. Ashby is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Ashby tries to buck Saburo off but he can't manage it. Saburo content just to control the position here. Ashby tries to hold on but Saburo pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ashby is squirming around, avoiding Saburo's attempts to control the action. Ashby throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Ashby manages to control the position for a moment. Saburo controlling from mount. Ashby keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Saburo looking to control but Ashby is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Ashby wants to hold on but Saburo pushes him away. Ashby taking shots to the head. The referee warns Ashby that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Saburo trying to control but Ashby is having none of it. Saburo controlling his opponent. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Despite being in the dominant position, Adam Saburo just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Saburo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ashby avoids it really well and circles away.
And that's the end of the fight! Adam Saburo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Saburo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
