Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ned Flanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Laggum Vane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vane comes into a darkened arena with his song building. No Rest for the Wicked kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Laggum Vane told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flanders drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Vane striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Flanders tries to advance to mount but can't.
Vane wants to control but Flanders postures up.
Check out the look on Flanders's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Vane tries to improve position but can't.
Flanders is trying to get an arm triangle but Vane is defending well.
Vane can't do much from the bottom here.
Vane tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Flanders wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Flanders has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Vane is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Flanders yanks on the arm and Vane is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Flanders.
