Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Del Tron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baxter Basset (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Del Tron!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Baxter Basset!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tron throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Tron keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Basset will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Tron has his takedown stuffed
and Basset counters with an outside leg kick.
Tron fails with the takedown
and Basset counters with a low kick, right behind Tron 's knee.
Basset throws a head kick but Tron moves out of range.
Basset throws a half hearted mid kick.
Tron doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Basset counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Tron!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Del Tron. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Basset trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Tron gets back to half guard.
Basset is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tron moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Basset wants to pass the guard but Tron is keeping the position.
Basset won't allow Tron to sweep him here.
Tron working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Basset doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Basset manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Tron is breathing heavily.
Tron is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Basset trying to control the position from guard on top but Tron is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Basset wants to stand but Tron has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Tron has his foot on Basset's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Basset works his way back into a safe position though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tron is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Basset rolls with it to try and escape but Tron cranks on the arm and Basset is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
