Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Grady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grady has chosen Them Bones by Alice in Chains as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Grady!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Roberts and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grady throws a right and a left that both miss.
The fighters circle momentarily. Knight darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Grady looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Grady moves into the clinch successfully.
Knight turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Grady is not content to let Knight control the position.

Grady manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Knight wants to lay and pray for a moment but Grady keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Knight not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Grady wants to stand but Knight is controlling the position.
Knight wants to pass the guard but Grady is keeping the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Knight shoots in looking for a takedown. Grady tries to sprawl out of it but Knight keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Grady manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Grady wants to clinch.
Grady tries to clinch but Knight moves out of range.
Grady moves into range and clinches up with Knight.

Knight is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Grady can't fight it off and eventually Knight manages to take the fight to the floor. Grady looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Grady scores with a nice hook to the head.
Grady has hold of one of Knight's legs. Knight is fighting the takedown attempt but Grady gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Grady stands and steps away. Knight gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Grady tries to clinch up but Knight circles away and keeps his distance.
Knight throws a right hand that Grady ducks under and follows up with a left that Grady also avoids with ease.
Knight changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Grady tries to avoid it but Knight manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Grady to the ground. Grady escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Grady wants to clinch up but Knight keeps it at a distance.
Knight avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Grady tries to work over Knight's front leg with a kick but Knight checks it.
Grady stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Knight. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice takedown defense from Grady. No joy for Knight on that attempt.
Grady swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Paul Grady seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Knight closes the distance and clinches up with Grady, looking for a takedown. Knight pushes Grady against the cage but Grady circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Grady slow jab from Knight misses its intended target.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Grady thuds a left hand into Knight's body.

Knight fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Grady, pushing him back against the cage.
Knight drops down looking for an ankle pick but Grady pulls his leg out and moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Paul Grady will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Knight shoots in but Grady avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Knight has taken the fight to the clinch.
Grady lands a nice shot to the body.

Knight is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Grady gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
