Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scott Gibson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grigorin Zaytsaev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott Gibson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Scott Gibson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Grigorin Zaytsaev! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zaytsaev throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Gibson looks to land a combination but Zaytsaev avoids it well. Grigorin Zaytsaev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gibson closes the distance and clinches. Gibson lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Gibson on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Gibson avoids a wild elbow strike from Zaytsaev. Gibson has Zaytsaev pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Gibson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Zaytsaev tumbling to the mat - Gibson dives into Zaytsaev's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gibson forces his way into half guard. Zaytsaev tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Gibson lands strikes from half guard.
It looks like Grigorin Zaytsaev has been cut. Gibson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gibson slips a nice elbow through Zaytsaev's hands, connecting with Zaytsaev's forehead.
That has opened up Grigorin Zaytsaev's cut even more. Zaytsaev wants to get back to full guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Zaytsaev can do anything to dispel that myth. Gibson wants to take a breather but Zaytsaev is having none of it. Zaytsaev won't allow Gibson to pass to mount. Zaytsaev tries to roll over but Gibson keeps him under control. Gibson works his foot free and advances to mount. Zaytsaev tries to hold on but Gibson postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gibson looking to finish Zaytsaev with some ground and pound. This is bad for Zaytsaev!
The cut above Grigorin Zaytsaev's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Gibson connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Zaytsaev is rocked!
Grigorin Zaytsaev's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Grigorin Zaytsaev's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Scott Gibson!
