Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hubert Parada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Douglas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brian Douglas is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Hubert Parada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Brian Douglas!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Andrew Berry and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Douglas fails with an attempt to clinch.
Douglas wants to clinch.

Douglas closes the distance and clinches.
Parada is trying to drag Douglas to the mat but Douglas just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Douglas using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Parada has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Parada tries to break free but Douglas pushes him back against the cage.

Parada pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Douglas walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Parada checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Douglas feints and as Parada raises his hands in defense, Douglas changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Douglas must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Douglas is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Parada escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Douglas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Parada working for a triangle but Douglas defends it easily.

Parada not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Parada looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Parada is trying to keep Douglas in close.

Parada isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Douglas stacks Parada on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Douglas!
Parada is trying to get back to half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Douglas moves in looking to clinch but Parada pushes him off.
Parada avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Parada blocks a head kick by Douglas.
Douglas is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Parada rushes Douglas and presses him up against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Douglas - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Parada has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
A short body shot lands from Douglas as the two fighters clinch.
Douglas jumps guard but Parada stands there with Douglas around his waist. Douglas gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

and Parada counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

and Parada counters with a nice double leg into side control. Douglas won't be happy with that.
Douglas is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Parada asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
A bit of a lull in the action here.

Parada tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Parada has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Douglas wants to get back to his feet.

Parada wants to lay and pray for a moment but Douglas keeps working.

Douglas is looking for a sweep. Parada is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Parada is working for a kimura here but Douglas manages to reverse the position and he's now in Parada's guard.

Douglas avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Parada is breathing heavily.

Douglas decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Parada counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Parada.
Douglas connects with a knee to the head.

That was a close round but I would say that Hubert Parada will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Douglas moves into the clinch.
Parada is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Douglas with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

Parada tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Douglas just stands there and leans against the cage.
Douglas throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Parada blocks it with crossed arms.
Douglas scores with a shoulder strike.

Parada turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Parada manages to end up in side control.

Douglas is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Parada is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Douglas knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Parada goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Douglas rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Parada's guard! Nice work there by Douglas!

Parada takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Douglas is trying to defend against the choke here but Parada has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Parada Tightens the hold and Douglas taps out furiously! Parada displays superior BJJ to win the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Hubert Parada!
