Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jan Helge Mathisen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Moose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jan Helge Mathisen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marcus Moose!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mathisen tries to clinch there but Moose circles away.
Donk. Moose catches Mathisen right on the button with a cross.


It looks like Jan Helge Mathisen has been cut.
Moose circles away from the clinch attempt.

Moose drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Moose won't allow Mathisen to sweep him here.

Mathisen pushes Moose off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Mathisen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Moose swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Moose fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mathisen sprawls well initially but Moose persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Moose tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Moose is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mathisen has managed to free his arm - good work.
Moose is looking to take a break and control but Mathisen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Moose stalling.
Mathisen is trying to control but Moose passes into side control!
Mathisen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Moose on the ground.
Mathisen is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Moose has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Mathisen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mathisen wants it to stay on the feet.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Moose looks for the body kick but Mathisen saw that one coming.
Moose pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Mathisen lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Mathisen tries to clinch but Moose is having none of it.
Mathisen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Moose swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Mathisen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Moose paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Mathisen wants to clinch.
Mathisen is looking to clinch but Moose is avoiding it.
Jan Helge Mathisen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Moose shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mathisen pinned against the cage. Mathisen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Moose jumps guard but Mathisen stands there with Moose around his waist. Moose gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Mathisen with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Mathisen misses with a knee to the head.
Moose letting Mathisen take a breather here.

Moose tries to pull guard but Mathisen won't allow it.
Mathisen prevents Moose from breaking the clinch.
Moose is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Mathisen misses with a knee to the head.
Moose takes a knee right on the jaw!
Moose jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mathisen walks away with a smile on his face. Moose gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Mathisen has closed the distance and engaged Moose in a clinch.
Moose trying to control the position but instead, Mathisen has worked for underhooks and has pushed Moose into the cage.
Mathisen stops a takedown attempt from Moose.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Marcus Moose will probably get the nod.

Moose has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Mathisen clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Mathisen is taking damage to the body and head.

Mathisen is trying to shake Moose off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Moose won't be happy about giving up the dominant position.

A close second round but Marcus Moose will probably get the nod - 10:9.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Moose closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Moose manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Moose is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Mathisen stands and steps away. Moose gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and Moose decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mathisen's guard.
Mathisen wants to stand and escape but Moose is having none of it.
Mathisen is looking to stand back up but Moose counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Mathisen.

Moose working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Moose stops Mathisen from getting back to his feet.
Mathisen preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Moose closes the distance and clinches up with Mathisen, looking for a takedown. Moose pushes Mathisen against the cage but Mathisen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Moose counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mathisen won't be happy with that.
Mathisen is pushing Moose's head away, looking to escape. Moose manages to hold on to the position though.

Moose decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Mathisen is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Marcus Moose has got the better of the ground game so far.
Moose might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mathisen kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Mathisen holds on and takes a little breather.
Moose sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Moose wants to get up but he can't break Mathisen's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Marcus Moose comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Moose winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
