Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Richard Holder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Richard Holder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Eddie Dean!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holder swings for the body but Dean moves out of range.
Holder tries to close the distance and clinch but Dean swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Holder misses with the combination.

Dean moves into the clinch successfully.

Holder manages to break the clinch.
Holder ducks under a wild hook from Dean.
Dean shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Holder throws a series of punches but Dean moves out of range.

Dean changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Holder looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Dean thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Holder wants to control but Dean postures up.
Dean scoring with punches and elbows.
Holder is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Dean wants to lay and pray for a moment but Holder keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Holder is looking to reverse the position.

Dean tries for a kimura but Holder is defending well.
Holder prevents Dean from moving into mount.
Dean wants to lay and pray for a moment but Holder keeps working.
Holder is looking to regain half guard here but Dean keeps moving and retains side control.
Holder is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Dean closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Holder has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dean is working away from the top position though.
Holder flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Holder wants to control but Dean is keeping busy.
Holder is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dean's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dean's back!
Dean rolls, trying to escape but Holder keeps control of the position.
Will Holder go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Holder connects with a big shot to the side of Dean's head.
Holder tries to get the hooks in deep but Dean pushed the leg off.
Dean is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Holder off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
Dean rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Dean is trying to maintain the position but Holder is very close to passing his half guard.
Holder is nestled in close to Dean, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Holder is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Holder is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Holder missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Dean is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Holder pulls his head out easily.
Holder wants to take a breather but Dean is having none of it.
Dean works his way to full guard. Good work.

Dean escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Holder gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Dean has control of Holder's left arm, preventing Holder from doing any damage.
Dean manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Dean working for a guillotine from mount but Holder is in no mood to give up.

Dean takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Dean controls the position.
Dean's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Dean looking for the RNC.
Dean is trying to stick to Holder's back but Holder is turning into Dean. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Dean's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Holder.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eddie Dean dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Holder scores a takedown into full mount!
Holder seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Dean is holding on tight.
Dean is in all sorts of trouble here.
Holder trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Dean tries to hold on but Holder postures up.
Holder wants to control the pace but Dean is squirming around nicely.
Dean wants to control but Holder is having none of it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Holder has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Holder gets his hands free as Dean looks to control.
Dean rolls, trying to escape but Holder keeps control of the position.
Dean needs to remain patient if he's going to get out of this sticky situation.

Dean turns into Holder and is now in his guard.
Holder will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Dean slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Dean wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Holder, who protects the arm well.
Holder is looking for a sweep.
Dean really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Holder. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Holder sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Holder wants to control but Dean is keeping busy.
Eddie Dean has got the better of the ground game so far.
Holder is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Holder gets back to full guard.
Dean trying to control but Holder is working from the bottom.

Holder is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Holder looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Dean is defending well. Holder quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Dean has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Holder celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
