Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Varun Kumar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Cho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jerry Cho! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from Kumar. Kumar has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kumar there as he acknowledges the shot. A jab from Cho misses. Cho leaves Kumar with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Cho keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Varun Kumar. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cho bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kumar's head. Cho lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kumar circles away quickly and effectively. Cho gets caught flat footed, as Kumar shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cho with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Cho regains full guard. Nicely done. Cho takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Kumar is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Cho is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell? Kumar tries to clinch but fails miserably and Cho cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
