Chayem comes into a darkened arena with his song building. 3 6 mafia -Some bodies gonna get it kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Areski Chayem has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Vinicius Monkey's chin.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chayem throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Monkey's waist but Monkey gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chayem off to one side.
Chayem tries to score a power double leg takedown but Monkey sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Chayem somewhat.
Chayem tries to clinch up but Monkey circles away and keeps his distance.
Monkey tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Chayem was well out of range. Poor timing from Monkey.

Chayem shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Monkey's guard.

Chayem postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Monkey parries the strikes from Chayem easily there. Chayem is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Monkey to escape.
Monkey wants to get back to his feet but Chayem drags him back down.
Monkey manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Chayem has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Chayem seems to be working for a kimura but Monkey defends the submission attempt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
