Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between George Pieru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicolai Vladimier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that George Pieru has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily George Pieru seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vladimier closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pieru circles away.
Pieru tries to clinch there but Vladimier circles away.
Vladimier fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Vladimier is trying hard to land a takedown here. Pieru sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
George Pieru has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nicolai Vladimier.

Pieru rushes Vladimier and presses him up against the cage.

Vladimier blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Vladimier tries to pull guard but Pieru holds him up against the cage and eventually Vladimier drops back down to his feet.

Vladimier is fighting off a takedown attempt but Pieru is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Vladimier to the mat. Vladimier regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Vladimier has Pieru pulled in close to control his posture.
Pieru is looking to work some ground and pound but Vladimier has wrist control.

Vladimier bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pieru's guard.

Pieru is trying to buck Vladimier off.

Vladimier is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Pieru has escaped the position, nice work there.
Pieru pushes Vladimier away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Vladimier gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Vladimier tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Vladimier has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Pieru is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Vladimier wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pieru keeps working.
Pieru wants to get back to his feet.

Vladimier thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Vladimier is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pieru knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Pieru wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Vladimier has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Pieru is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Vladimier yanks on the arm and Pieru is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Vladimier.
