Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Rash Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Nicklaus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matt Rash Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Nicklaus!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Nicklaus checks a leg kick.
Nicklaus takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Nicklaus slips a straight right by Rash Jr.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rash Jr throws a solid leg kick but Nicklaus takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Rash Jr.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nicklaus bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Nicklaus fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Nicklaus looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rash Jr is fending him off so far but Nicklaus persists. Nope, Rash Jr circles away and we're back to standing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Nicklaus shoots in for a takedown but Rash Jr shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Matt Rash Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Nicklaus.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rash Jr misses with a straight left.
Rash Jr getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Nicklaus shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rash Jr but Rash Jr pushes him off and we're back to square one.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Rash Jr lands with an uppercut that bounces Nicklaus off the cage and back into rage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Nicklaus shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rash Jr but Rash Jr pushes him off and we're back to square one.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Matt Rash Jr dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nicklaus shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Rash Jr connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Nicklaus's hands.
Rash Jr throws a low kick but Nicklaus avoids it.
Nicklaus moves out of range as Rash Jr strikes.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

A slow jab from Rash Jr misses its intended target.

Rash Jr stuffs the takedown.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Rash Jr lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Nicklaus has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Nicklaus and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Rash Jr throws a low kick but Nicklaus avoids it.
Rash Jr throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Nicklaus sees it coming and avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Matt Rash Jr dominated that second round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Rash Jr lands with a straight right. Nicklaus didn't see that one coming.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Nicklaus.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rash Jr thows a left - swing and a miss!

Nicklaus displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rash Jr throws out the jab.

Nicklaus gets a takedown into half guard.
Matt Rash Jr is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Rash Jr wants to improve his position but Nicklaus is controlling well.
Nicklaus uses his free foot to push down on Rash Jr's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Rash Jr.
Rash Jr is trying desperately to improve position.
Nicklaus content just to control the position here.
Rash Jr is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Rash Jr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nicklaus on the ground.

Rash Jr is in all sorts of trouble here.
Rash Jr is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Rash Jr tries to hold on but Nicklaus pushes him away.

Nicklaus has isolated one of Rash Jr's arms. Rash Jr looking to fight him off but Nicklaus twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
