Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yasin Evans! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksandr Martynov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from agaev. agaev could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Evans throws a series of punches but agaev avoids them all with ease. agaev drives through with a takedown into guard. agaev thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. agaev drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and agaev jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Evans trying to keep a closed guard but agaev is proving a slippery customer.

The fighters roll with the hold and Evans manages to kick agaev off! agaev jumps back into Evans's guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Evans can do anything to dispel that myth. agaev drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Evans dives on top into guard. Evans really doesn't want to stay on the ground with agaev. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. agaev tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Evans has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of agaev is proving hard to escape from. agaev might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. agaev controls Evans momentarily but Evans frees himself. Evans is looking to stand up but agaev won't let him. Evans is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Evans wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of agaev's closed guard. He's half up but agaev has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! agaev pivots and extends the arm, Evans falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by agaev! Well done that man!
