Dos Santos kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Head Crusher. The key to victory for Vitor Dos Santos has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomi drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Dos Santos pushes Gomi away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Gomi gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Gomi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dos Santos, who protects the arm well.
Gomi is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dos Santos has escaped the position, nice work there.
Dos Santos tries to buck Gomi off but Gomi is having none of it.
Dos Santos can't do much from the bottom here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Gomi closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Gomi maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Dos Santos could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Gomi has cracked it and Dos Santos is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Gomi!
