Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jason Bourne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bourne's entrance music is Metallica - Fuel. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Bourne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danga de danga de dang - Sanchez scores with a four punch combination!

Sanchez fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bourne, pushing him back against the cage.

Sanchez manages to break the clinch.
Sanchez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bourne is fending him off so far but Sanchez persists. Nope, Bourne circles away and we're back to standing.
Bourne avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sanchez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bourne pinned against the cage. Bourne gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Sanchez tries for a takedown but Bourne sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Jason Bourne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Sanchez.
No luck for Bourne with that takedown attempt.
Bourne leaves Sanchez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Bourne closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Sanchez throws a left and a right that both miss
and Bourne counters with a one-two to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sanchez is bucking up trying to escape but Bourne cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Bourne lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Bourne wants to stand and escape but Sanchez is having none of it.

Sanchez postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bourne is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sanchez, into his guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bourne got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sanchez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bourne has managed to get both his arms back between Sanchez's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Sanchez goes for an armbar but Bourne turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Bourne.
Sanchez has momentary wrist control but Bourne slips an elbow through the middle.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sanchez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bourne's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sanchez is defended easily by Bourne.
Bourne throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Bourne misses with a body shot.
Bourne fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sanchez wants to clinch
and Bourne counters with a straight right hand.
Sanchez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Bourne counters with a left and a right that stings Sanchez.
Bourne misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bourne tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sanchez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bourne somewhat.
Sanchez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bourne tries to avoid it but Sanchez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bourne to the ground. Bourne escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jason Bourne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Sanchez.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bourne misses with a series of wild punches.

Jimmy Sanchez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Bourne closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sanchez circles away.

and Sanchez counters with a single leg into guard. Bourne didn't expect that.

Sanchez might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bourne kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Sanchez decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Bourne throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Sanchez was covering up waiting for the punch and Bourne finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Bourne working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Sanchez is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Bourne postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Bourne has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Sanchez pulls Bourne in close to his closed guard and prevents Bourne from doing any damage or advancing position.
Sanchez's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jimmy Sanchez just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

You get the feeling that Bourne really doesn't like being in this position too much.

I think Sanchez has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
