PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Buck Bradshaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Dyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dyer has chosen Viva La Vida as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Buck Bradshaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Shawn Dyer!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Eddie Farnsworth and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bradshaw cracks Dyer with a right hand to the side of the head.
Dyer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dyer tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bradshaw sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dyer somewhat.
Dyer misses with a body kick.
Bradshaw throws a nice outside leg kick.
No joy there for Bradshaw, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bradshaw throws a series of punches but Dyer moves out of range.
Dyer takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Dyer looks to land a right hand but Bradshaw moved out of range.
Dyer pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Dyer lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bradshaw has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bradshaw and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Bradshaw throws a series of punches but Dyer avoids them all with ease.
Bradshaw lands a two punch combo.


It looks like Shawn Dyer has been cut.
Bradshaw keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Dyer throws a head kick that half lands.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Bradshaw takes the fight into the clinch.
Dyer tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Bradshaw avoids it.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Dyer obliges.
Dyer is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Bradshaw is defending well for now.

Bradshaw blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Dyer is looking to break free of the clinch but Bradshaw has double underhooks.
Bradshaw throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Dyer lands a good knee to the midsection. Bradshaw won't want to take too many of those.

Bradshaw is breathing heavily.

Bradshaw changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dyer fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Dyer lands a glancing blow to the side of Bradshaw's head.
Dyer moves away from the strike by Bradshaw.
Dyer misses with an uppercut. Bradshaw saw that one coming.
Dyer looks to land a right hand but Bradshaw moved out of range.

and Bradshaw counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dyer won't be happy with that.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bradshaw postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Dyer avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Bradshaw.

Dyer parries the strikes from Bradshaw easily there. Bradshaw is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Dyer to escape.

Bradshaw tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Dyer is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bradshaw misses with a wild combination.
Bradshaw throws a right and a left that Dyer avoids nicely.
Dyer lands a jab to the head.
Dyer cracks the inside of Bradshaw's front leg.
Bradshaw lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Bradshaw is looking to clinch.
Bradshaw uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dyer.
Bradshaw lands with an uppercut that bounces Dyer off the cage and back into rage.
A nice combination there by Bradshaw.
Dyer jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Dyer lands a big uppercut and Bradshaw crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Bradshaw looks OK. Dyer waves Bradshaw back to his feet!


Bradshaw is rocked!

Dyer measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Bradshaw! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Shawn Dyer!
