The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Honda shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in york's guard. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. york defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Honda. york stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and york wants it to stay on the feet. Honda changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. york tries to avoid it but Honda manages to keep hold of a leg and drag york to the ground. york escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
