Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyle Gass! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacob Ryder! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ryder darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Ryder throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Ryder not landing any meaningful shots this time. Ryder sitting and controlling from the half guard. Ryder working Gass over with strikes. Gass is looking to control Ryder's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gass avoid being mounted? Ryder slows the pace down in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gass gets back to full guard.
Gass keeping full guard, as Ryder tries to pass. Ryder won't allow Gass to sweep him here. Gass trying to control the position.
Ryder sitting in guard here, content to control. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Gass has an active guard here but Ryder has managed to pass into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Ryder controlling the pace. Ryder's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The fighters are battling for position here. Gass manages to regain full guard. Nice work. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Ryder being controlled here momentarily. Ryder trying to control the position from guard on top but Gass is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jacob Ryder dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Ryder looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Ryder thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Gass wants to get back to full guard but Ryder has mounted him! Ryder unloading with bombs! Gass can't escape the position.
Ryder lands with some strikes. Ryder connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Gass tries to hold on but Ryder postures up. Ryder looking to finish Gass with some ground and pound. This is bad for Gass!

Gass is rocked! Ryder takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Oh Gass is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Ryder unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Gass wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Ryder celebrates on the ropes and the crowd goes wild!
