Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tim Fraser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ramon Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Fraser! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ramon Silva! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva shoots for a double leg takedown but Fraser sprawls well. He's pushed Silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Fraser stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fraser wants it to stay on the feet. Silva feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Fraser is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Fraser is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Fraser has his foot on Silva's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Silva works his way back into a safe position though. Fraser has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Silva is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Fraser. Silva is trying to get an arm triangle but Fraser is defending well. Silva wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Fraser, who protects the arm well. Fraser tries to bench press Silva off him but Silva keeps the position. Fraser is working hard here to advance position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva blocks the strikes from Fraser.
Fraser is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Silva's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fraser keeps working.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Silva looks for a takedown but Fraser sprawls well. Tim Fraser has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ramon Silva. Fraser slaps away a takedown attempt from Silva, before circling back to the center of the mat. Fraser drives through with a takedown into guard. Fraser won't allow Silva to sweep him here. Fraser is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Silva tries to land a sweep but no joy. Silva is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fraser thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Fraser landing with the ground and pound. Silva looking for a guillotine here but Fraser defends easily.
Silva looks gassed! Fraser working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Silva's head.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Fraser shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Fraser was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! BOOM! Fraser connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Silva is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Fraser locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Silva is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Tim Fraser!
