The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamed shoots in for a double leg but Aronald sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hamed looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Aronald fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hamed avoids it really well and circles away.
Aronald fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hamed manages to avoid it.

Aronald is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Aronald decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Aronald doesn't manage to clinch there - Hamed circles away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Aronald lands a jab to Hamed's midsection.
Aronald stalks Hamed and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hamed's face. Hamed staggers backwards, shaken.
Aronald could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Aronald throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Hamed blocks the body kick.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Aronald throws a body punch but Hamed moves out of range.

Aronald closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Aronald lands in his opponent's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hamed keeps control of Aronald as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Aronald tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Aronald's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hamed circles away from the clinch attempt.
Aronald throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hamed's waist but Hamed gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Aronald off to one side.

Aronald goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Aronald shoots for a double leg takedown but Hamed sprawls well. He's pushed Aronald's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Aronald wants to slow Hamed down by chopping away at his legs.

Aronald fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hamed manages to avoid it.
Hamed closes this distance looking for a takedown but Aronald circles away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Aronald breaks from the clinch.
Aronald tries to close the distance and clinch but Hamed swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Aronald. Hamed does a little dance to reset his feet.
Aronald ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Hamed drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Hamed prevents Aronald from getting back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Aronald manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Aronald shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hamed napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Aronald decides to stand back up. Aronald steps back and let's Hamed get back to his feet.

Aronald wants to control from the top but Hamed keeps moving.

Aronald postures up in Hamed's guard and throws a big left but Hamed blocks it.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Aronald, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
