Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Tryant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vinjill Chavez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chavez has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Shawn Tryant! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vinjill Chavez! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tryant darts in and clinches Chavez up against the cage. Chavez looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Tryant breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Tryant tries to clinch there but Chavez circles away.
Tryant looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Tryant lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Tryant is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Tryant postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Chavez to stand up. Tryant tries to clinch up. Tryant feints and then cracks Chavez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Chavez down. Chavez takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Tryant gets a clinch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chavez managing to block the knees to the body from Tryant.
Tryant jumps guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tryant wants to sweep here but Chavez controlling him for the moment. Tryant pulls Chavez in close to prevent any damage. Tryant manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Chavez manages to get himself to full guard.
Tryant decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Tryant takes the fight into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tryant lands a knee to the head.
Tryant manages to break the clinch.
Tryant misses with a hook. Chavez ducked under it nicely. Tryant feints and then cracks Chavez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Chavez down. Tryant tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chavez swats him away and circles back towards the center. Tryant throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
A head kick from Tryant lands but Chavez takes it in his stride. Tryant gets in close and instigates a clinch. Tryant escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tryant drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tryant has hold of Chavez's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Chavez seems comfortable defending it but Tryant has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Chavez is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Chavez is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Tryant couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Shawn Tryant!
