Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Christopher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Christopher comes into the arena with Almost Famous blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Patrick Knight enters the cage!

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Patrick Knight! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Christopher lunges at Knight with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Knight's hand. Knight drives through with a takedown into guard. Knight wanted to stand there but Christopher had control of the position. Christopher wants to stand but Knight is controlling the position. Knight slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Knight is in close to Christopher's body, working some short punches and elbows. Christopher wants to sweep here but Knight controlling him for the moment. Christopher knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Knight on the ground. Christopher utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Knight passes easily into side control. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Christopher is breathing heavily. Knight is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Christopher is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Christopher tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Knight wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Christopher is not content to let Knight control the position. Knight creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Christopher sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Christopher on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Christopher tries to get out of the position. Knight landing strikes. Knight working the head and body with strikes. Christopher managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Knight.
Knight is looking to take a break and control but Christopher is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Knight tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Christopher dodges the ground and pound from Knight. Knight has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Knight throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Christopher's waist but Christopher gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Knight off to one side. Christopher throws and low kick but Knight moves out of range easily. Christopher misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Christopher displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Knight. Christopher lands a jab to Knight's midsection. Knight shoots in but no luck this time. Christopher throws a wild body kick that Knight sees coming a mile off. Knight dives in and grabs Christopher's left leg, looking for a takedown. Christopher pushes down on Knight's head and hops out. Christopher throws a series of punches but Knight avoids them all with ease. Christopher does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. A low kick from Christopher misses and Knight moves into the clinch. Knight jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Christopher walks away with a smile on his face. Knight gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Knight throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Christopher misses the shot to the body. Kevin Christopher is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Knight closes the distance and lands a one-two. Christopher throws a half hearted mid kick. Christopher misses with a two punch combination.

Christopher tries a low kick but Knight avoids it. Knight misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Knight is looking to clinch but Christopher is avoiding it.
