Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ortiz closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ortiz tries to pass to full mount but DiBiase defends it. Ortiz is figuring out what he wants to do next. DiBiase gets back to full guard.
DiBiase wants to sweep but no luck. Ortiz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Ortiz stands up from guard. Let's bang! DiBiase looks gassed! The fight stays on the outside here - Ortiz looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Ortiz misses with an attempted mid kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. DiBiase has his takedown stuffed and Ortiz counters with a nice double leg into side control. DiBiase won't be happy with that. Ortiz scoring with punches from side control. Ortiz could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Ortiz working the head and body with strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ortiz is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, DiBiase has escaped the position, nice work there. DiBiase manages to work his way to half guard, despite Ortiz's best efforts. Ortiz is tying to control. DiBiase wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Ortiz performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Ortiz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. DiBiase is staying active underneath Ortiz, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ortiz is nestled in close to DiBiase, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Ortiz performing his best blanket impression for a moment. DiBiase won't allow Ortiz to pass to mount. DiBiase slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Ortiz won't allow DiBiase to sweep him here. DiBiase trying to keep a closed guard but Ortiz is proving a slippery customer.
Ortiz with a flurry of punches that miss. DiBiase looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Ortiz trying to control but DiBiase is working from the bottom. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if DiBiase can do anything to dispel that myth. DiBiase is looking to sinch up a triangle. Ortiz throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to DiBiase's body to avoid the submission. DiBiase has instead reached around Ortiz's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! DiBiase arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
