Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Jr Jonesy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Earth Quake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Jr Jonesy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Earth Quake! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jonesy avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Quake misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jonesy.
Quake throws a jab when Jonesy was well out of range. Jonesy catches Quake with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
It looks like Earth Quake has been cut. Quake tries to bum rush Jonesy with a series of wild strikes but Jonesy uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Quake swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Quake throws a jab when Jonesy was well out of range. Jonesy shoots in but no luck this time. A combination from Jonesy does no damage. Jonesy throws a right hand that Quake ducks under and follows up with a left that Quake also avoids with ease. Quake is looking to clinch. Jonesy shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jonesy was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Jonesy controlling from the full mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jonesy trying to control but Quake is having none of it. Quake regains half guard. Jonesy is looking to take a break and control but Quake is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Quake tries to roll over but Jonesy keeps him under control. Jonesy is trying to control the action in half guard but Quake is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Quake is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Quake blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jonesy. Jonesy wants to take a breather but Quake is having none of it. Quake manages to get to full guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Quake can do anything to dispel that myth. Quake wants to sweep but no luck.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jonesy bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Quake throws a hook to the side of Jonesy's head but Jonesy sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Jonesy misses with a straight left. Quake scores with a punch to the head. Jonesy keeps the fight on the outside.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quake misses with a looping left. Jonesy blocks a head kick by Quake.

Jonesy staying out of range there. Quake tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Quake throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Quake throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jonesy counters with a takedown into side control. Quake tries to buck Jonesy off but Jonesy is having none of it. Jonesy looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Jonesy is looking to take a break and control but Quake is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jonesy has hold of Quake's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Quake tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Jonesy cranks the arm and Quake screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Quake, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). David Jr Jonesy!
