Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Cottle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flash Grodon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Cottle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Flash Grodon! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cottle decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Grodon is trying to stand back up but Cottle is controlling him
Cottle is pressing down on Grodon's thigh, looking to free his foot. Grodon is holding on for now. Cottle prevents Grodon from standing back up.
Cottle looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Grodon looks like he's trying to stand up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Grodon pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Flash Grodon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cottle closes this distance looking for a takedown but Grodon circles away. Grodon tries to clinch but Cottle is having none of it. Grodon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cottle paws at him with a jab and circles away. Grodon lands a high kick to the side of Cottle's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Grodon dives into guard, looking to finish.
Cottle is rocked!
It looks like David Cottle has been cut. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Grodon preventing the sweep. Oh Cottle is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Grodon avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Cottle seems to have got his legs back now. Cottle is breathing heavily. Grodon is looking to stand up but Cottle won't let him. Grodon stopping the sweep attempt from Cottle. Grodon wants to get up but he can't break Cottle's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cottle looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Grodon tries to stand but Cottle is controlling from the bottom. Cottle tries to land a sweep but no joy. Grodon trying to stand up but can't free himself from Cottle's guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Cottle swats away the attempt to clinch by Grodon. Grodon is looking to clinch but Cottle is avoiding it.

Cottle fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Grodon throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Grodon throws a head kick that misses. Cottle tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Grodon swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Cottle. That's going to take a lot out of him. Grodon is looking to clinch but Cottle is avoiding it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Grodon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Grodon tries to clinch but Cottle moves out of range. Grodon fails in his attempt to clinch. Grodon moves in looking to clinch but Cottle pushes him off. Cottle drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Cottle wants to control from the top but Grodon keeps moving. Cottle wants to pass the guard but Grodon is keeping the position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Cottle drops back looking for a leg! Grodon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Grodon manages to kick Cottle off! Cottle jumps back into Grodon's guard. Cottle wants to pass the guard but Grodon is keeping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that David Cottle will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on David Cottle's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Grodon wants to get up but he can't break Cottle's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Cottle lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Grodon! Cottle with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Cottle working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Grodon turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Cottle off and cradles Grodon's limp body as Cottle celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). David Cottle!
