Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Troy Kayser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cockpunch Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kayser might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to redneck. The key to victory for Troy Kayser has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Troy Kayser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cockpunch Jones!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kayser ducks right into an uppercut from Jones.
Kayser tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kayser looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but Kayser persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing.
Kayser shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Kayser gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Kayser is pressed up against the cage. Jones has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kayser down to the mat. Kayser avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Jones throws a looping overhand right but Kayser ducks down to avoid it.
Kayser blocks a jab.
Jones throws a right and a left that both miss.

Kayser rushes Jones and presses him up against the cage.
Kayser lands an elbow inside.


It looks like Cockpunch Jones has been cut.
Kayser tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Troy Kayser. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jones breaks the clinch.
Kayser keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jones.
Jones tries for a takedown but Kayser sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Kayser moves into range and clinches up with Jones.
Kayser has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jones avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Jones sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kayser's guard.
Kayser tries to roll over but Jones keeps him under control.

Kayser has hold of Jones's hands but Jones slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Jones lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jones cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Jones looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Jones breaks from Kayser's wrist control and lands an elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kayser knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground.

Jones is working for a guillotine from mount but Kayser frees his head quite easily.

Jones prevents Kayser from improving his position.

Kayser is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Jones scores with a couple of nice shots.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

and Jones counters with a HUGE slam that knocks Kayser out cold!!! When he eventually wakes up, that one's gunna hurt!
