Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Howlett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kareem Said (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Howlett's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Mountain Man - Crash Kings. Kareem Said has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kareem Said! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Seu Braga and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Howlett. Howlett working away. Howlett lands a nice forearm strike. Said is trying to control Howlett's posture but Howlett avoids it. Howlett creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Said sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Howlett working the ground and pound. Said is trying to control Howlett's posture but Howlett avoids it. Said manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Said not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Howlett is trying to maintain the position but Said is very close to passing his half guard. Said is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Howlett wants to control but Said is having none of it.

Said looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Howlett with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Said is just content to waste time from the top position. Howlett takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Howlett trying to keep a closed guard but Said is proving a slippery customer.
Howlett on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Howlett tries to get out of the position. Said lands a couple of decent looking shots. Howlett has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Howlett is looking for a triangle but Said pushes his legs off easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Said stands up over Howlett, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Said is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Said in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Howlett is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Said trying to control but Howlett is working from the bottom. Howlett avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Said stays in close to Howlett's body and controls the position. Howlett keeping moving, preventing Said from controlling successfully. Said works over Howlett with some ground and pound from guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Said misses the shot to the body. Howlett avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Howlett keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Said tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Howlett was well out of range. Poor timing from Said. Said with a lazy takedown attempt and Howlett counters with a shoot takedown. Said fights it but they end up in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Howlett won't allow Said to sweep him here. Howlett wants to control from the top but Said keeps moving. Howlett wants to pass the guard but Said is keeping the position. Howlett trying to control but Said is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Howlett is really struggling to control Said but he's trying to hold on to the position. Said not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Said has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Howlett looking to sit in guard and control but Said gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Howlett is looking for a triangle but Said pushes his legs off easily.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Said clinches but Howlett breaks the clinch and Howlett decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Said's guard. Howlett trying to control the position from guard on top but Said is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Howlett dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Said with a poor takedown so Howlett counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Howlett content to stall in guard here. Howlett trying to move into half guard but instead Said has managed to sweep! Said scoring with punches to the head and body. Said tries to free his leg and advance position but Howlett is retaining full guard. Howlett has an active guard here but Said has managed to pass into half guard.
Said throwing shots but Howlett is blocking nicely.

Said working over Howlett with some ground and pound. Howlett looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Said trying to control from half guard but Howlett is working away. Howlett is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Howlett trying to get back to full guard but Said takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Said scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Howlett?
Howlett is rocked! Said lands a big shot to the head and Howlett winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
