Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Guilherme Sampaio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucky Strike (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lucky Strike will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strike tries to close the distance and clinch but Sampaio swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Strike looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Sampaio shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sampaio showed some decent athleticism there.
Sampaio is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Sampaio is looking to advance position but Strike won't allow it.
Sampaio keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Strike trying to hold on to Sampaio's head to control him but Sampaio postures up.
Sampaio works his foot free and advances to mount.

Strike really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sampaio. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sampaio takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Sampaio is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Strike can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Strike is working to get back to half guard.
Sampaio avoids the attempt from Strike to control.

Sampaio is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Strike is surviving well by controlling Sampaio's body position as best he can.

Strike is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Strike is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Sampaio is staying active.
Strike is controlling an arm, preventing Sampaio from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Strike lands a left and a right that send Sampaio crashing to the mat, dazed. Strike thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Guilherme Sampaio has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Oh Sampaio is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Strike tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sampaio paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Sampaio avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

The fight stays on the outside here - Strike looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Look low, kick high! Strike uses the oldest trick in the book to send Sampaio tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Strike is absolutely delighted - when Sampaio wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
