McDuck comes into the arena with Scrooge McDuck blaring out of the sound system. Scrooge McDuck has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tavares tried to score with a low kick but McDuck checks it.
Tavares misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tavares throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A good leg kick by Tavares.

Tavares moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Tavares throws a low kick, looking for McDuck's leg but McDuck calmly moves out of range.

McDuck fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Tavares lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McDuck circles away quickly and effectively.
Brad Tavares seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tavares looks to land a combination but McDuck avoids it well.

A looping hook to the body misses from Tavares. McDuck does a little dance to reset his feet.

Tavares lands with a kick to the temple. McDuck shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Tavares pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Tavares leaves McDuck with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
McDuck ducks right into an uppercut from Tavares.
Nice jab there from Tavares.
Both fighters circling a little - Tavares finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Tavares turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Tavares bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
McDuck takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Tavares throws the kick towards the body but McDuck avoids it.
Good leg kick by Tavares there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
A left lands for Tavares.
Nice sprawl there from Tavares as McDuck shoots in.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scrooge McDuck. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McDuck changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tavares looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McDuck is trying to get an arm triangle but Tavares is defending well.
McDuck tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no McDuck has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
McDuck is breathing heavily.

McDuck prevents Tavares from escaping the position.
McDuck working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
McDuck is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tavares is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Tavares pushes McDuck away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, McDuck gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
McDuck goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Tavares rolls with the submission and now he's on top in McDuck's guard! Nice work there by Tavares!
McDuck tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Tavares has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of McDuck is proving hard to escape from.
McDuck is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
McDuck working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tavares doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tavares manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Tavares throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Tavares plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
McDuck takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Tavares is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Crunch! Tavares slams his shin into McDuck's torso.
Tavares throws a head kick that misses.
McDuck takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
McDuck takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Brad Tavares is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Tavares goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Tavares throws a shot to the body.
A chopping leg kick lands by Tavares.
McDuck scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
McDuck is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
McDuck is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
McDuck is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tavares is just riding it out for now. McDuck eventually gives up the hold.

Tavares pushes McDuck off looking to stand but McDuck dives back in and keeps control.
McDuck is trying to work for a kimura but Tavares is defending well.
Tavares is trying to stand up here but McDuck is controlling him well.
McDuck is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Tavares is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
