Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gomer Pyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas CdS (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lucas CdS has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gomer Pyle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lucas CdS!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Alexandre Firmino and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pyle misses with a head kick.

Pyle throws a sloppy head kick and CdS moves out of range easily.

CdS gets the takedown into side control.
CdS is looking to take a break and control but Pyle is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
CdS looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Pyle is avoiding damage well.
CdS has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

CdS is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pyle knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

CdS is trying to get an arm triangle but Pyle is defending well.

CdS working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
CdS is trying to ground and pound but Pyle uses the momentary lack of control by CdS to regain half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

CdS is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pyle is trying to stand back up but CdS is controlling him

CdS wants to control the pace but Pyle is squirming around nicely.

CdS moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Pyle has worked his arm free - good work by Pyle!
CdS looks gassed!

Pyle is looking to work his way out of this bad position but CdS is controlling him well.

CdS working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The strikes coming from CdS are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

CdS tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no CdS has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Pyle is looking to work his way out of this bad position but CdS is controlling him well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
CdS is looking to take a break and control but Pyle is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Pyle wants to get back to his feet.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Pyle stuffs the takedown.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Pyle throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Pyle throws an overhand right that lands on CdS's shoulder, as CdS tries to avoid the shot.
Pyle lands with a nice combination. CdS backs away looking to recover.


It looks like Lucas CdS has been cut.
Pyle throws a head kick that misses.
Pyle misses with a wild combination.
Gomer Pyle is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Pyle lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but CdS circles away quickly and effectively.
Pyle tries a head kick but it misses.
CdS shoots in but Pyle avoids the takedown attempt easily.

CdS showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Pyle.
No joy there for Pyle, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Pyle throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Pyle throws a right hand that CdS ducks under and follows up with a left that CdS also avoids with ease.
Pyle rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but CdS moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Pyle lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

CdS misses with a takedown attempt - Pyle sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
CdS is breathing heavily.
Pyle pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Pyle throws a right and a left that both miss.
CdS slips under a jab.
No joy there for Pyle, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Pyle misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

CdS closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - CdS lands in his opponent's guard.

CdS prevents Pyle from getting back to his feet.
CdS tries to free his leg and advance position but Pyle is retaining full guard.

CdS is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Pyle is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Pyle has escaped and now he's on top!
CdS is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

CdS has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pyle can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Pyle is looking to stand up but CdS won't let him.
CdS is looking to sweep but instead, Pyle has passed into half guard.
Pyle tries to stand but his hand is stuck under CdS.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gomer Pyle dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Lucas CdS's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
No luck for CdS with that takedown attempt.

CdS closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - CdS lands in his opponent's guard.
CdS takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Pyle keeping moving, preventing CdS from controlling successfully.
CdS trying to move into half guard but instead Pyle has managed to sweep!

CdS tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Pyle has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
CdS wants to control but Pyle is having none of it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Pyle wants to get back to his feet but CdS is holding on tight.
Pyle avoids the attempt from CdS to control.
CdS is looking to improve his position but Pyle isn't that keen on the idea.
CdS is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
CdS tries to hold on but Pyle pushes him away.

Pyle stands up from mount. Strange move.
CdS blocks a head kick by Pyle.
Pyle defends well against a solid takedown attempt from CdS.
Pyle misses with a double jab.
Pyle swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Pyle fails to land with a series of punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pyle moves into range and connects with a jab.
Pyle tries to bum rush CdS with a series of wild strikes but CdS uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Pyle swinging wildly here.
Pyle throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Pyle misses with an uppercut. CdS saw that one coming.
Pyle fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
CdS keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pyle.
Pyle lands a jab-cross combination.
CdS slips a jab and a cross from Pyle.

And that's the end of the fight!
Gomer Pyle showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Pyle has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
