Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Paul Jason Bawalan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yamato Ryuichi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bawalan's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Someday. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul Jason Bawalan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yamato Ryuichi! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Matheus Silva and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Ryuichi. No joy for Bawalan on that attempt. Ryuichi drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ryuichi moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Bawalan tries to get back to half guard but can't. Ryuichi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bawalan, who protects the arm well. Bawalan tries to buck Ryuichi off but Ryuichi is having none of it. Bawalan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ryuichi wants to take a breather but Bawalan manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Ryuichi. Ryuichi preventing the sweep. Ryuichi showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Bawalan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Ryuichi pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bawalan is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Ryuichi gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Bawalan tries for a takedown but Ryuichi manages to get underhooks.
Bawalan has Ryuichi pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Ryuichi manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Jason Bawalan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ryuichi turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Ryuichi manages to end up in side control. Bawalan stops Ryuichi from passing to mount. Bawalan is not content to let Ryuichi control the position. Bawalan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ryuichi wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bawalan looks to move to half guard but instead Ryuichi has passed into mount! Damn! Ryuichi controlling from mount. Bawalan is squirming around, avoiding Ryuichi's attempts to control the action. Ryuichi moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Bawalan has worked his arm free - good work by Bawalan!
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Bawalan wants to control but Ryuichi postures up. Ryuichi controls the position. Bawalan is trying to improve his position. Ryuichi goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Bawalan rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Ryuichi's guard! Nice work there by Bawalan! Bawalan wants to stand but Ryuichi has a closed guard, so he can't escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yamato Ryuichi dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ryuichi rushes Bawalan and presses him up against the cage. Ryuichi drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ryuichi gets a trip takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ryuichi is looking to stall here but Bawalan recovers full guard. Ryuichi trying to control the position from guard on top but Bawalan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bawalan not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ryuichi stands and throws Bawalan's legs to the side, diving into side control. Bawalan prevents Ryuichi from moving into mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Ryuichi trying to control the position but Bawalan is working away. Bawalan can't do much from the bottom here. Bawalan tries to get back to half guard but can't. Ryuichi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bawalan keeps working.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Ryuichi fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Bawalan checks it well. Excellent takedown into side control there by Ryuichi. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ryuichi is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Bawalan looks calm but he's in trouble here. Ryuichi gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Bawalan is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Ryuichi lets go of the hold and Bawalan can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Yamato Ryuichi!
