Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Heddy Lamaar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Crump (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lamaar comes to the cage accompanied by Pledge To Hedley Lamaar. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Heddy Lamaar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason Crump! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lamaar looks to score with a jab to the body but Crump is just out of range. Crump misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Crump fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Crump looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Lamaar throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Lamaar throws a jab but it's blocked by Crump. A looping hook to the body misses from Crump. Lamaar does a little dance to reset his feet. Lamaar ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Crump misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Crump takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Lamaar looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Still in half guard, Lamaar seems content to control. Lamaar trying to pass the guard but Crump defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lamaar thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Lamaar thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Crump's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Crump is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Lamaar scores with a couple of nice shots. Crump keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Lamaar keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Lamaar lands strikes from half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lamaar trying to pass the guard but Crump defending well. Crump is looking for a sweep. Lamaar is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Lamaar missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Lamaar is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Lamaar is trying to control. Crump wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Crump moves into full guard.
Crump keeping moving, preventing Lamaar from controlling successfully. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lamaar throwing strikes but missing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Heddy Lamaar dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Crump gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lamaar is pushing down on Crump's leg trying to pass to half guard. Crump is fighting to maintain full guard but Lamaar has managed to sneak the leg through. Lamaar content to control rather than advance. Lamaar thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Crump's head. Lamaar controlling the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crump is refusing to be controlled, as Lamaar sits in half guard.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Heddy Lamaar just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Crump swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Crump ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lamaar moves away. Lamaar misses with a hook to the body
and Crump counters with a three punch combo that has Lamaar backing up. Lamaar nods at Crump to acknowledge the strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crump throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lamaar throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Crump misses with a wild combination.
Crump is breathing heavily. Lamaar just misses with a punch to the body.
Lamaar shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Crump napping and manages to drive through into side control! Crump prevents Lamaar from improving position. Lamaar cracks Crump with a big right hand but Crump just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Lamaar tries to move into full mount but can't pass Crump's legs. Crump takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lamaar in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Crump is pushing Lamaar's head away, looking to escape. Lamaar manages to hold on to the position though. Lamaar content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Lamaar is working Crump over with some ground and pound from side control. You can see the frustration on Crump's face as Lamaar controls the position. Lamaar lands some shots froms side control. Lamaar is looking to take a break and control but Crump is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Crump trying to remain calm as Lamaar controls from the top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Heddy Lamaar dominated that second round. That's time! Lamaar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Lamaar connects with the punch. Crump looks to score with a jab to the body but Lamaar is just out of range. Crump pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Crump throws a series of punches but Lamaar moves out of range. Lamaar drives through and clinches with Crump against the cage.
Lamaar gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Lamaar looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Lamaar looking to sit in guard and control but Crump gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lamaar wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Heddy Lamaar just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Crump does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Lamaar throws a body punch but Crump moves out of range. Lamaar looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Lamaar seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Crump is looking to sweep but instead, Lamaar has passed into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lamaar not doing much here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lamaar working the head and body with strikes. Lamaar is taking a breather. Crump says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Crump blocking the ground and pound attempt from Lamaar. Lamaar seems to be looking for submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lamaar wants to free his trapped foot but Crump is holding on for dear life with his legs. Jason Crump has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Heddy Lamaar is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Lamaar sitting and controlling from the half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that's the end of the fight! Heddy Lamaar showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lamaar, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
