The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jobber fails with a takedown attempt. Jobber tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but haul was well out of range. Poor timing from Jobber. haul forces Jobber back against the cage and clinches. haul's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. haul changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jobber looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. haul is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Jobber will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. haul has hold of Jobber's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Jobber tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - haul cranks the arm and Jobber screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Jobber, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Jon haul!
