Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bill Lapointe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trainer Wrestle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lapointe comes to the cage accompanied by Don't Drink The Water. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bill Lapointe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Trainer Wrestle! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wrestle misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lapointe.
Lapointe tries to clinch but Wrestle is having none of it. Wrestle fails with a takedown attempt. Wrestle has Lapointe up against the cage in a clinch.
Lapointe fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Lapointe tightens his grip and picks Wrestle up, before dumping him to the ground. Wrestle manages to land in guard. Wrestle keeping moving, preventing Lapointe from controlling successfully. Lapointe passes into half guard. Lapointe takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Lapointe wants to pass to mount but Wrestle is defending the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lapointe is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Wrestle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lapointe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lapointe trying to control but Wrestle is having none of it. Lapointe looking to secure an arm triangle but Wrestle defends it well. Lapointe throwing strikes here but Wrestle is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Lapointe seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Wrestle is holding on tight.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Wrestle is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Lapointe gets his way!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Wrestle fending off the submission attempt from Lapointe. Lapointe wants to control the position but Wrestle frees himself and scrambles - Lapointe manages to regain control in side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Lapointe wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wrestle keeps working. Wrestle can't do much from the bottom here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wrestle holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage. Lapointe is trying to get an arm triangle but Wrestle is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bill Lapointe dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Wrestle shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Lapointe bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Lapointe is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Wrestle is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Wrestle has escaped and now he's on top! Lapointe lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Wrestle! Lapointe wants to control the pace but Wrestle is squirming around nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lapointe moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Wrestle has worked his arm free - good work by Wrestle!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lapointe controlling the position. Wrestle wants to control but Lapointe postures up. Lapointe is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Wrestle is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Wrestle manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lapointe is working for a submission of some sort.
Wrestle trying to hold on to Lapointe's head to control him but Lapointe postures up.
Lapointe wants to take a breather but Wrestle is having none of it. Lapointe is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wrestle doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lapointe.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lapointe is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wrestle is just riding it out for now. Lapointe eventually gives up the hold. Lapointe wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wrestle keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wrestle wants to clinch up but Lapointe keeps it at a distance. Wrestle is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Lapointe shoots in and bounces Wrestle off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Lapointe trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wrestle is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bill Lapointe will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
A shot to de liver by Wrestle. Beautiful body shot. Wrestle with a lazy takedown attempt and Lapointe moves into the clinch. Lapointe tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Wrestle smiles and moves away.
Wrestle gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lapointe to score an easy takedown into full guard. Wrestle keeping moving, preventing Lapointe from controlling successfully. Lapointe tries to free his leg and advance position but Wrestle is retaining full guard. Lapointe is looking to advance position but Wrestle has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Lapointe is working to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wrestle trying to control but he's not successful this time. Lapointe tries to reverse the position but Wrestle maintains control. Lapointe is working hard here to advance position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Lapointe holds on to Wrestle as tight as he can, avoiding damage. Wrestle postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Lapointe looks a forlorn figure.
Wrestle with shots to the head and body - Lapointe looks very uncomfortable down there. Wrestle sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Lapointe wants to hold on but Wrestle pushes him away.

Lapointe is refusing to be controlled, as Wrestle sits in half guard. Lapointe is looking for a sweep. Wrestle is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Lapointe looking for submissions off his back. Lapointe moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Trainer Wrestle comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Lapointe has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
