The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Eliza Hachem and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Braincells throws a hook to the side of Sydney's head but Sydney sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Braincells fails to land with a series of punches.
Sydney fails in his attempt to clinch.
Braincells avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Braincells cracks Sydney with a right hand to the side of the head.
Braincells lands a jab to the nose.
Braincells misses with an uppercut. Sydney saw that one coming.
Braincells's corner calls for a 1-2. Braincells obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Braincells connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Sydney's hands.
Sydney is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sydney shoots in looking for a takedown. Braincells tries to sprawl out of it but Sydney keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Braincells manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Braincells bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Oh Sydney is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Braincells cracks Sydney with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Braincells immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Sydney is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Braincells!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lostma Braincells!
