Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mason Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angelo Russo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson's entrance music is Simon Says. A fine choice. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Angelo Russo!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russo throws a series of punches but Anderson avoids them all with ease.
Anderson misses with a straight right.
Anderson throws an overhand right that lands on Russo's shoulder, as Russo tries to avoid the shot.
Russo has a takedown stuffed.
Russo blocks a leg kick.
Russo lands a glancing blow to the side of Anderson's head.
Anderson loads up on a big right hand but Russo slips the punch.
Russo lands a nice hook to Anderson's body. Anderson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Anderson pivots, looking for a leg kick but Russo is out of range and Anderson settles back down.
Russo tries to bum rush Anderson with a series of wild strikes but Anderson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Anderson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Russo manages to avoid it.
Anderson moves out of range of the strikes.
Russo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Russo is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Anderson's half guard.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Anderson lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Russo has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Russo and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Anderson tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Russo with the ground and pound but Anderson regains half guard under the barage of strikes.

Russo is just content to waste time from the top position. Anderson takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Russo wants to control from the top but Anderson keeps moving.
Russo throws and elbow that misses. Anderson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Russo's guard. Nice move by Anderson!
Russo wants to sweep here but Anderson controlling him for the moment.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Anderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Russo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Russo wants to stand up but Anderson is controlling him.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Anderson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Russo slips a jab and a cross from Anderson.
Russo shoots for a takedown but Anderson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Russo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Anderson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Russo swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Russo looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Anderson!
Anderson really wants to buck Russo off and get back to his feet.

Russo moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Anderson has worked his arm free - good work by Anderson!

Anderson has one of Russo's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.

Anderson throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Anderson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Russo is trying to defend but Anderson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Russo looks like he's trying to stand up.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mason Anderson.
I think Anderson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
