Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jazz Caparison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toby Rinker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rinker comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Mosh kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! On his way into the cage it seems that Jazz Caparison has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jazz Caparison seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jazz Caparison! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Toby Rinker! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Steve Montenegro and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Caparison fails in his attempt to clinch. Rinker shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rinker was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Caparison tries to hold on but Rinker pushes him away. Rinker has hold of Caparison's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Caparison manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Rinker with shots to the head and body - Caparison looks very uncomfortable down there. Rinker pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Rinker tries to control but Caparison wriggling away. Caparison really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Caparison is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Rinker putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Rinker looking to control and managing it successfully. Rinker scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Caparison?

That's two minutes gone in the round. Caparison manages to regain half guard. Good work. Rinker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Caparison. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Caparison is not content to let Rinker control the position. Rinker is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Caparison sees it coming and defends easily. Caparison is trying to get back to full guard. Caparison trying to hold on to Rinker's head to control him but Rinker postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rinker wants to take a breather but Caparison is having none of it. Rinker trying to mount his opponent but Caparison defends it. Rinker should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Caparison shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Rinker finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Rinker closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Caparison to the mat! Caparison manages to get full guard. Caparison trying to control the position.
Rinker postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Caparison preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Rinker's corner is telling him to maintain position. Rinker must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Caparison is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rinker is aware though and is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Caparison working for a triangle but Rinker defends it easily.
Caparison is breathing heavily. Rinker drops back looking for a leg! Caparison is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Caparison manages to kick Rinker off! Rinker jumps back into Caparison's guard. Rinker connects with a couple of short punches. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Caparison keeping moving, preventing Rinker from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Toby Rinker dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Caparison misses with a takedown attempt and Rinker counters by moving into the clinch. Rinker turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Caparison struggling a bit here. Caparison tries to bench press Rinker off him but Rinker keeps the position. Rinker blocks the strikes from Caparison.
Caparison is looking to regain half guard here but Rinker keeps moving and retains side control. Rinker has knee on belly and moves into mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rinker landing strikes from the mount and Caparison is in trouble! Caparison gets back to half guard. Caparison tries to roll over but Rinker keeps him under control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rinker seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Caparison does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Rinker looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Caparison is trying to control but can't.
Rinker seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Caparison slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Caparison keeping moving, preventing Rinker from controlling successfully. Rinker pushes down on Caparison's leg and manages to get into half guard. Caparison is looking to control Rinker's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Caparison avoid being mounted?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Caparison looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Caparison is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rinker pulls his head out easily. Rinker is keen to just control but Caparison is a slippery customer. Caparison is trying to control but Rinker manages to pass to mount!
Rinker cracks Caparison with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rinker landing strikes, looking to finish! Caparison is desperately trying to improve his position but Rinker has a good base and remains in mount. Rinker looking to control but Caparison is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Caparison is working to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Rinker in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Rinker tries to control but Caparison wriggling away. Rinker swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Caparison is now in Rinker's guard. A big mistake from Rinker there, giving up the dominant position! Caparison drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Rinker dives on top into guard. Rinker wants to control from the top but Caparison keeps moving. Caparison controls Rinker momentarily but Rinker frees himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Toby Rinker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Caparison gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rinker to score an easy takedown into full guard. Caparison is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rinker is controlling him. Caparison working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rinker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rinker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Rinker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Rinker lands a couple of digs. Rinker in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Rinker is working Caparison over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Rinker works over Caparison with some ground and pound from guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rinker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Caparison swivels though and keeps the full guard. Rinker wants to control from the top but Caparison keeps moving. Caparison looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Rinker puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Caparison wants to get back to his feet.

Rinker takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Caparison is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Rinker is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Caparison wants to improve his position but Rinker is controlling well.

Jazz Caparison has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rinker won't let Caparison get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Toby Rinker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rinker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
