Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tha Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Headden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man comes to the cage accompanied by lukenback texas. Steve Headden has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Tha Man's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tha Man!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Headden!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Headden thows a body shot but no joy.
Headden tries to clinch but Man moves out of range.
Man takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Headden scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Headden avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Headden motions for Man to come forward. Headden throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Headden lands a nice looking body kick.
Man throws a low kick, looking for Headden's leg but Headden calmly moves out of range.
Man looks to clinch
and Headden counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Man is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Man tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Man misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Headden lands with a nice body kick.
Man clinches but Headden breaks the clinch
and Headden counters with a solid body kick.
Man is breathing heavily.

Headden closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Headden is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Man's shoulder. That is not cool.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Headden fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Man checks it well.

and Man counters with a nice body kick.

and Headden counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Headden wants to control but Man is having none of it.
Man looking to ground and pound but Headden is blocking nicely.
Headden can't escape the position.
Man can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Headden is looking to escape.
Man is really struggling to control Headden but he's trying to hold on to the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Steve Headden will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!


Man throws and low kick but Headden moves out of range easily.
Headden blocks a head kick by Man.

Headden throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Man stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Headden follows into mount!

It looks like Tha Man has been cut.
Headden controlling his opponent.
Oh Man is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Man seems to have got his legs back now.

Headden's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Man tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Headden controlling his opponent.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Headden forces the positional change into back control.
Steve Headden is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Headden really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Man.

Man is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Despite being in the dominant position, Steve Headden just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Headden tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Man paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Headden throws a hook but Man blocks it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

and Headden connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Headden cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Steve Headden comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Headden has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
