Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenshin Himura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kyle Moore has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kenshin Himura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kyle Moore!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Joseph Jones and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moore avoids the head kick by Himura.

Moore looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Himura is trying to get back to full guard.
Moore is tying to control. Himura wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Himura tries to roll over but Moore keeps him under control.
Moore works his foot free and advances to mount.
Moore content just to control the position here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Himura is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Himura is working hard here to advance position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Himura really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Moore controlling his opponent.
Moore's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Moore looking to control but Himura is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Moore takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Himura tries to hold on but Moore pushes him away.
Moore prevents Himura from getting the reversal.
Himura is breathing heavily.

Moore stands up from mount. Strange move.
Himura closes this distance looking for a takedown but Moore circles away.
Himura tries to clinch up but Moore circles away and keeps his distance.
Himura tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Moore paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Himura throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Himura shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Himura is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

and Moore counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenshin Himura. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Himura is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Himura trying to control but Moore postures up.
Himura regains full guard. Nicely done.
Himura keeping moving, preventing Moore from controlling successfully.
Himura looking for a sweep. Not yet Himura, not yet.
Himura is controlling Moore's posture.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Moore won't allow Himura to sweep him here.
Himura is trying to keep Moore in close.
Himura is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Himura throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Moore looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Himura is looking to improve his position.
Himura is trying to stand.
Moore is trying to control the action in half guard but Himura is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Himura trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Moore manages to pass to mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Moore content just to control the position here.
Moore postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Himura looks a forlorn figure.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kyle Moore dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Moore clinches with his opponent.

Moore has hold of one of Himura's legs. Himura is fighting the takedown attempt but Moore gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Moore wants to control from the top but Himura keeps moving.
Himura is trying to keep Moore in close.
Moore pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Himura is keeping the position for now.
Himura is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Himura looking for a sweep. Not yet Himura, not yet.
Himura can't keep his opponent in guard - Moore advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Himura wants to control but Moore is keeping busy and won't allow it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Moore shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Himura as he avoids it easily.

and Moore counters with a nice double leg into side control. Himura won't be happy with that.
Moore wants to control but Himura is keeping him busy.
Himura is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Moore off and has taken his back!
Moore wants to control his opponent's hands but Himura gets his hands free.
Moore tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Moore wants to hold on but Himura pushes him away.
Moore is wriggling around trying to escape.
Moore tries to hold on but Himura pushes him away.
Himura wants to control the pace but Moore is squirming around nicely.
Kyle Moore has got the better of the ground game so far.
Moore is bucking up trying to escape but Himura cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Himura connects with a couple of good shots from mount.


Moore is rocked!


It looks like Kyle Moore has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Moore is in all sorts of trouble here.
Moore is still in real trouble! Can Himura finish him?
Himura looking to finish Moore with some ground and pound. This is bad for Moore!


That has opened up Kyle Moore's cut even more.
Moore taking shots to the head.


The cut above Kyle Moore's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Kyle Moore's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
