Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Martin Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rene Schweidler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schweidler has chosen DREAM EVIL as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Martin Sanchez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rene Schweidler! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Alyssa Summers and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schweidler throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sanchez sees it coming and avoids it easily. Schweidler misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sanchez moves in looking to clinch but Schweidler pushes him off. Schweidler misses with a few strikes there.
Schweidler closes the distance but Sanchez moves to the side and Sanchez moves into the clinch. Schweidler stops a takedown attempt from Sanchez.
Schweidler trying to control the position but instead, Sanchez has worked for underhooks and has pushed Schweidler into the cage. Sanchez blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Schweidler throws an elbow that misses.
Schweidler is trying to maintain a safe position but Sanchez gets an underhook and turns Schweidler into the cage. Schweidler is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Sanchez is defending well for now. Sanchez is trying to drag Schweidler to the mat but Schweidler just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Schweidler makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Schweidler breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Schweidler misses with a looping left. Sanchez has managed to clinch.
Schweidler effectively controlling the action here. Schweidler wants to break free but Sanchez has control.
Schweidler lands an elbow just above Sanchez 's eye.
It looks like Martin Sanchez has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Martin Sanchez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Sanchez has clasped his hands together around Schweidler's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Sanchez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sanchez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Sanchez goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Schweidler has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Sanchez but great work by Schweidler. Sanchez sneaks back into half guard. Sanchez flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Schweidler thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sanchez's head. Schweidler throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Schweidler throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Schweidler wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sanchez keeps working. Sanchez is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Schweidler scores with a couple of nice shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schweidler throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Sanchez is not content to let Schweidler control the position. Sanchez regains full guard. Nicely done. Sanchez has momentary wrist control but Schweidler slips an elbow through the middle. Sanchez wants to sweep but no luck. Schweidler must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Schweidler trying to control but Sanchez is working from the bottom. Sanchez has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Schweidler should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Sanchez has tightened it up now! Schweidler should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
