Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jerry Ferro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Gorden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jerry Ferro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ben Gorden! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Luis Engracia and Edson Gomes.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ferro throws a nice looking combination but Gorden bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Ferro throws the left hand but Gorden avoids the punch easily. Danga de danga de dang - Ferro scores with a four punch combination! A combination from Ferro does no damage.
Gorden closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Gorden is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Ferro tries to get to full guard but Gorden has control of the leg. Gorden works his foot free and advances to mount.
Gorden is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Ferro has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Gorden is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Ferro has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Ferro! Gorden looks gassed!
 That's one minute gone in the round. Gorden is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Gorden wants to control the position but Ferro says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Gorden is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ferro's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ferro's back! Ferro rolls, trying to escape but Gorden keeps control of the position.

Gorden is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Ferro is defending well though. Gorden let's go of the attempt for now. Ferro trying to control the hands but Gorden breaks the grip.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Ferro tries to escape but Gorden has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Gorden is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Ferro has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Ferro rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Gorden seems to be working for a kimura but Ferro defends the submission attempt.
Gorden is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Gorden frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Gorden looking to isolate an arm here. Ferro doesn't see it coming and as Gorden extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Gorden!
