Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between rick hardman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jarek Exo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
hardman shoots in for a double leg but Exo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Exo doesn't succeed with the takedown
and hardman counters with a single leg into guard. Exo didn't expect that.
Exo is trying to control the position from the bottom.
hardman could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Exo wants to sweep but no luck.
hardman passes Exo's left leg - he's now in half guard.
hardman works his way into side control.
hardman content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
hardman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Exo keeps working.

hardman remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Exo is going oldschool here, as he tries to force hardman to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so hardman shrugs it off.
hardman bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as hardman holds on and takes a little breather.

Exo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with hardman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

hardman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
hardman shoots in but Exo avoids the takedown attempt easily.

hardman throws a nice looking combination but Exo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Exo clinches but hardman breaks the clinch
and hardman counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by hardman.
Exo is working an open guard so hardman takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
A nice left hand lands by Exo.

hardman tries to get the hooks in deep but Exo pushed the leg off.
hardman is persistently looking for the submission but Exo is defending it well.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Exo is trying to break free.
hardman has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Exo.
Exo just trying to survive but hardman is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

hardman struggling to keep hold of the position.
hardman just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Exo grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
hardman really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Exo.
Exo trying to control the position but hardman manages to sink in the hooks.
Exo tries to roll but hardman sticks to his back.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
A lull in the action here.
hardman is not going to allow Exo to sit and survive in this position.
hardman is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Exo has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but hardman has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Exo taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. hardman doesn't care though - he's delighted!
