Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Razor De Costa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Cowell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Costa comes to the cage accompanied by Synphony of Destruction by Megadeth. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Razor De Costa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson Cowell! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Matheus Silva and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Costa misses with the combination.
Cowell closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. De Costa tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cowell wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Cowell tries for a kimura but De Costa is defending well. De Costa is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Cowell's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Cowell is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. De Costa doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cowell. Cowell wants to pass to mount but De Costa is defending the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cowell seems to be working for a kimura but De Costa defends the submission attempt. Cowell is trying to control. De Costa wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. De Costa might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Cowell is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Cowell is looking for a kimura but De Costa is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Cowell to get the leverage. Cowell wants to work for an arm triangle but De Costa is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. De Costa is trying to maintain the position but Cowell is very close to passing his half guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. De Costa throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Cowell takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Anderson Cowell has been cut. Cowell looks gassed! De Costa tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cowell swats him away and circles back towards the center. Cowell dodges the punch combination from De Costa.
De Costa lands a nice looking body shot.
De Costa looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. De Costa throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's three minutes gone in the round. A punch combination from De Costa misses. De Costa gets a clinch. Cowell tries for a takedown but De Costa manages to get underhooks.
De Costa tries to circle away but Cowell has him pinned against the cage. Cowell has De Costa pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. De Costa manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Cowell fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Razor De Costa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anderson Cowell. Cowell wants to break free but De Costa has control.
De Costa breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
De Costa looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Cowell slips a jab and a cross from De Costa.
De Costa throws a right and a left that both miss. De Costa misses with a wild combination.
A punch combination from De Costa misses. De Costa catches Cowell with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Cowell pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. De Costa looks to land a right hand but Cowell moved out of range. Cowell drives through with a takedown into guard. Cowell slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Cowell is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. De Costa knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Cowell tries for a kimura but De Costa is defending well. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cowell is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but De Costa is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Razor De Costa dominated that round. The cut man is working on Anderson Cowell's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
De Costa throws a head kick but Cowell moves out of range.
Razor De Costa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A punch combination from De Costa misses. De Costa lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cowell circles away quickly and effectively. De Costa tries to bum rush Cowell with a series of wild strikes but Cowell uses good footwork to avoid the assault. De Costa throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cowell throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. De Costa lands a nice shot to the body.

De Costa throws a nice looking combination but Cowell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cowell shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as De Costa sprawls well. De Costa wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cowell gets slowly back to his feet. Cowell shoots in but De Costa avoids the takedown attempt easily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Cowell is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in De Costa's half guard. Cowell seems to be looking for submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Cowell trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Cowell is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! De Costa is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! De Costa has escaped and now he's on top! Cowell working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. De Costa doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. De Costa manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Cowell looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. De Costa working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. De Costa trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. De Costa content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. De Costa scoring with punches to the head and body. De Costa got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cowell has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, De Costa has managed to get both his arms back between Cowell's legs - danger averted. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Razor De Costa will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Anderson Cowell's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
De Costa throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cowell. De Costa misses with a few strikes there.

That's one minute gone in the round. Cowell drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but De Costa manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cowell has De Costa in his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Cowell working for a triangle but De Costa defends it easily.
De Costa wanted to stand there but Cowell had control of the position. De Costa trying to control but Cowell is working from the bottom. De Costa won't allow Cowell to sweep him here. De Costa looking to pass the guard. Cowell bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in De Costa's guard. De Costa manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee warns Cowell that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
De Costa putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! De Costa connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
De Costa has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Cowell's face.
Cowell is looking to get to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. De Costa in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

That's four minutes gone in the round. De Costa wants to sweep but no luck. Cowell pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. De Costa is keeping the position for now. Razor De Costa is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Cowell passes De Costa's left leg - he's now in half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Razor De Costa. Well I reckon that's a shut out for De Costa, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
