Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brian Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonny Boy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Griffin might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bag of Weed. Boy has chosen Johnny Boy - It's Johnny Boy as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jonny Boy will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brian Griffin!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jonny Boy!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Paul Tew and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boy just misses with a punch to the body.
Griffin misses with a straight right.
Griffin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Boy takes the fight into the clinch.
Boy tries to throw a body punch but Griffin avoids it by throwing Boy back against the cage.
Boy taking a breather.

Boy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Griffin waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Boy.
A shot to the body from Griffin misses

and Boy counters with a takedown into side control.
Boy is looking to take a break and control but Griffin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Boy looking for a guillotine from mount but Griffin is having none of it.
Boy throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Boy goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Griffin turns into him and now he's in Boy's guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jonny Boy just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Boy just misses with a punch to the body.


It looks like Brian Griffin has been cut.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Griffin lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Boy has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Boy and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Boy tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Griffin is able to avoid easily.

Boy has closed the distance and engaged Griffin in a clinch.

Griffin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Griffin closes the distance and pushes Boy back into the cage.
Boy is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Griffin takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Griffin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Griffin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Griffin tries to get out of the position.

Boy creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Griffin sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Boy creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Boy is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Griffin is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Griffin walks forward, straight into a front kick from Boy.

This has been an exciting period of action!

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.

and Boy makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Griffin really felt that one!

Boy tries for a takedown but Griffin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Griffin catches Boy with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

and Griffin counters with a left and a right that stings Boy.

Griffin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Boy throws out the jab.

Boy connects with a good right hand that stumbles Griffin. Griffin circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

and Boy counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well Boy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
