The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
NoGG shoots in for a double leg but Akomolede sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

NoGG throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Akomolede was covering up waiting for the punch and NoGG finishes the takedown easily into guard.
NoGG stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Akomolede swivels though and keeps the full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as NoGG accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
