Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Caio Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gustavo Cardoso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva's entrance music is Forever. A fine choice. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Gustavo Cardoso was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Caio Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gustavo Cardoso!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Matheus Silva and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cardoso defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Silva.
Jab from Cardoso.
Cardoso gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Cardoso is looking to stand up but Silva isn't so interested in that idea.
Cardoso pushes Silva off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Silva shoots for a double leg takedown but Cardoso sprawls well. He's pushed Silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Silva shoots for a takedown but Cardoso saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Caio Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Silva dodges the punch combination from Cardoso.
Cardoso will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Silva shoots in but Cardoso avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Cardoso swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Cardoso stuffs the takedown.
Cardoso tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Cardoso lands a nice looking body shot.
Silva is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cardoso lands a left and a right that send Silva crashing to the mat, dazed. Cardoso thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Cardoso connects with a nice cross there... Silva is looking wobbly and Cardoso recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Silva to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Cardoso jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Gustavo Cardoso!
