Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kanrosch Timoshenko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Boris Morozov! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Fedor Mirinova and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morozov fails with a takedown attempt. Timoshenko bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Morozov's head. Timoshenko swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Morozov defending well as Timoshenko loads up on a big left hand. Timoshenko misses with a double jab.
Timoshenko cracks a nice hook into Morozov's ribs. Timoshenko checks a leg kick. Timoshenko lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Morozov looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Timoshenko gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Morozov to score an easy takedown into full guard. Morozov lands a couple of digs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Timoshenko is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Morozov is controlling him. Morozov showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Morozov wants to pass the guard but Timoshenko is keeping the position. Timoshenko is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Morozov thows a big elbow that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Timoshenko looking to control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. The fight stays on the outside here - Morozov looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Horrible takedown by Morozov or perhaps it was just good defense by Timoshenko which made him look bad. Timoshenko lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Morozov fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Kanrosch Timoshenko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boris Morozov. Morozov looks gassed! Timoshenko digs a good body shot into Morozov's ribs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Morozov has Timoshenko up against the cage in a clinch.
Morozov jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Timoshenko walks away with a smile on his face. Morozov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Morozov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Timoshenko is fending him off so far but Morozov persists. Nope, Timoshenko circles away and we're back to standing. Morozov tries to move into range but Timoshenko moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Morozov needs to keep his hands up - Timoshenko had a free shot at his head there. Timoshenko drops Morozov with a big left hand and mounts him. Morozov is in big trouble!
Morozov is rocked! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Timoshenko looking to control but Morozov is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Morozov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Timoshenko is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Morozov is surviving well by controlling Timoshenko's body position as best he can. Timoshenko throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Timoshenko throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Morozov is squirming around, avoiding Timoshenko's attempts to control the action. Morozov is wriggling around trying to escape.
Timoshenko wants to control the pace but Morozov is squirming around nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Timoshenko is really struggling to control Morozov but he's trying to hold on to the position. Morozov tries to get back to half guard but can't. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Timoshenko throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Morozov because Timoshenko loaded up on that one. Timoshenko looking to finish with strikes here!

Timoshenko scores with a crisp jab that stopped Morozov in his tracks. Horrible takedown by Morozov or perhaps it was just good defense by Timoshenko which made him look bad. Timoshenko slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Morozov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Morozov displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Timoshenko throws out the jab. Nice shot by Timoshenko. Morozov is breathing heavily. Timoshenko misses with a looping left.
That's one minute gone in the round. Timoshenko thuds his right hand into Morozov's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Timoshenko catches Morozov with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Timoshenko cracks Morozov with an uppercut from hell and Morozov crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Timoshenko's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Morozov is still in real trouble! Can Timoshenko finish him? Morozov working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Timoshenko. Morozov seems to have recovered his senses. Timoshenko has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Morozov utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Morozov has a closed guard, preventing Timoshenko from standing up. Timoshenko working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Timoshenko got a little sloppy there for a moment and Morozov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Timoshenko has managed to get both his arms back between Morozov's legs - danger averted. Morozov has a closed guard, preventing Timoshenko from standing up. Timoshenko missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Morozov controls Timoshenko momentarily but Timoshenko frees himself.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Timoshenko connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Timoshenko lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Timoshenko fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Morozov on the side of the head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Morozov takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Morozov takes a jab right on the kisser.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Timoshenko scores with a decent looking hook. Timoshenko lands with a right hand. Morozov has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Timoshenko finds it's way round the side to connect with Morozov's head. Jab, jab by Timoshenko - just one landing. Timoshenko connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Morozov! He's out on his feet! Timoshenko rushes in and drops Morozov with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
