Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nelson Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Sagat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nelson Walker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Victor Sagat!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker scores with a jab.

Walker bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Walker working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Walker controls the position.
Walker wants to control but Sagat is keeping him busy.
Walker takes a little break here. Sagat wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Walker is looking to take a break and control but Sagat is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Walker is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sagat is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Sagat wants to get back to his feet but Walker drags him back down.

Sagat is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Walker asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Walker lands a few punches from side control.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Walker lands an elbow.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Walker is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sagat knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Walker is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Sagat's shoulder. That is not cool.
Sagat really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Walker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Nelson Walker just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Walker misses with a wild combination.
Sagat is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Sagat misses with a two punch combination.
Walker throws a nice looking combination but Sagat bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Nelson Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Walker cracks Sagat with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.
Walker connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Sagat throws a head kick that misses.
Walker throws a right and a left that Sagat avoids nicely.
Sagat throws a right and a left that Walker avoids nicely.
Sagat looks gassed!
Sagat takes one to the side of the head.
Walker misses with a few strikes there.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Walker, as that shot connected.

Walker shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Walker is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Walker passes Sagat's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Walker takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Sagat looks like he's trying to stand up.
Walker with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Walker scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Walker is controlling the pace.
Walker trying to mount his opponent but Sagat defends it.
Sagat is in trouble now - Walker has advanced to mount!
Walker tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Walker's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sagat walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Sagat slips a jab and a cross from Walker.
Walker lands a head shot.
Sagat tries to clinch up.

Walker scores a takedown into full mount!

Walker is working for a guillotine from mount but Sagat frees his head quite easily.

Walker is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Sagat to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Sagat shrugs it off.
Sagat is trying to escape the mount.

Sagat is trying to reverse the position but instead Walker has taken his back - oops!
Sagat is breathing heavily.
Sagat is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Walker.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Nelson Walker just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Sagat walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
A left lands for Walker.
Walker lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Walker throws a one two combo.
Walker uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Sagat has time to react.
Walker misses with a jab, cross combination.
No joy there for Walker, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sagat takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Sagat tries to close the distance and clinch but Walker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A left lands for Walker.
Walker cracks Sagat with an open hand slap.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Walker, as that shot connected.
Sagat moves in looking to clinch but Walker pushes him off.

Walker shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Walker showed some decent athleticism there.

Walker maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Sagat could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Walker has cracked it and Sagat is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Walker!
