Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Assis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Burton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Assis kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Lado A Lado B by Rappa. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Assis pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Burton checks a leg kick.
Assis scores a takedown into full mount!
Burton manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Burton tries to get to full guard but Assis has control of the leg.

Assis is looking for a sweep. Burton is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Burton moves out of range as Assis strikes.
Burton changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Assis tries to avoid it but Burton manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Assis to the ground. Assis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Assis throws a leg kick which misses Burton's front leg but catches the back leg as Burton tries to avoid it.
Assis throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Assis slaps away a takedown attempt from Burton, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Burton looks gassed!
Assis ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Burton moves away.
Assis stuns Burton with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Burton closes the distance and clinches up with Assis, looking for a takedown. Burton pushes Assis against the ropes but Assis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jorge Assis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shawn Burton.
Burton gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Assis to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Burton shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Assis but Assis pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Assis is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Burton is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Burton throws a big right hand that misses.
Assis wants to sweep here but Burton controlling him for the moment.
Assis is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Assis seems to be working for a kimura but Burton defends the submission attempt.
Assis is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Burton is just riding it out for now. Assis eventually gives up the hold.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Burton moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Shawn Burton has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jorge Assis is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Burton wants to sweep here but Assis controlling him for the moment.
And that's the end of the fight!
