The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva keeps the fight on the outside.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Buckman as he jumps to the side.
Silva looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Silva wants to control from the top but Buckman keeps moving.
Silva drops back, looking for a kneebar! Buckman looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Buckman looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Buckman!
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Silva is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Buckman has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Silva has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Buckman is working away from the top position though.

Silva looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Buckman has picked Silva up and slammed him! Silva can't keep hold of the triangle and Buckman manages to pass to side control!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Silva lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Buckman!
Silva can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Buckman is looking to escape.
Silva misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Silva is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Buckman has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Buckman!

Despite being in the dominant position, Mazaa Silva just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Buckman lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Silva takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Buckman throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
